Having a Mind to Suffer

Having a mind to suffer means that we are prepared before the Lord to suffer. It means that we are ready to suffer and that we choose the way of suffering. If the Lord does not allow suffering to come our way, that is His business. On our side, however, we are always ready for suffering. … The degree of our willingness to suffer determines the amount of spiritual work we will perform. If our mind to suffer is limited, our spiritual work will be limited, If our mind to suffer is limited, our blessing to others will be limited, and the result of our work will be limited as well.

The Prophesy for the Building up of the Church

Since to prophesy is to speak for the Lord and speak forth the Lord, that is, to minister Christ to others, which is main thing in the church meeting, prophesying requires the divine life to fill it as its content. Love is the excellent way to experience the divine life and make it the content of the gift of the prophecy for the building up of the church. Hence, we must pursue love and desire earnestly these greatest gifts.

Grow in Life unto Salvation

After regeneration the newborn babes need to feed on the milk of the holy Word. … This feeding is so that they may grow in life unto their daily salvation. Every day we need to be saved. This is because our attitude, the tone of our voice, and our spirit are not so right. Even the way we look at others is not so right. We need to be adjusted, to be saved from many things. We need to grow unto such a salvation. … We need a growth that results in salvation.

The Experience of Valleys and Hills

All the valleys are the experiences of the cross, the experiences of the death of Christ, and all the hills are the experiences of the Lord’s resurrection. A valley is the cross; a hill is the resurrection. We must be one who always has some trouble, some valley, but also one who is always on the hills, always in the experience of resurrection. Whenever there is a valley, there is a hill. Whenever you experience the death of the cross, you will experience the resurrection. The living waters flow forth from all these experiences.

Count All Things to be Loss for Gaining Christ

The way to obtain Him, gain Him, experience Him, and enjoy Him is to deny whatever we are, whatever we have, and whatever we can do. Do not bring anything to Christ. He does not need what you are or have, but you need Him. In every way Christ wants to replace you with Himself. Christ has already obtained us that we may obtain Him. Now He is waiting for us to experience Him and enjoy Him by denying all things and by counting all things loss for His sake.

A Spiritual Living

The purpose of God’s salvation is not to make us merely ethical or religious people. The purpose of God’s salvation is something higher that this. It is not enough to be either ethical or religious. God’s purpose in His salvation is to work in us to the extent that would have a kind of living that surpasses the ethical and religious living. This kind of living is a spiritual living.

To Partake of the Lord’s Table

To partake of the Lord’s table is to remember the Lord. … When we receive Him into us, He becomes our life and strength within, enabling us to love those whom we cannot love, to do what we cannot do, to be what we cannot be, and to live in a way that we cannot live. Then during the week He will be digested in us to become our everything, making us joyful and satisfied. This is to enjoy Christ and to receive the Lord.

Christ as Life

Christ today is the life-giving Spirit. He is the living Spirit who is with us all the time. He is present, prevailing, available, and instant. No matter where you are, no matter what situation you are in, whether you are dealing with someone or you are being dealt with by someone, forget about yourself and your reasonings; simply open to Him and call, “O Lord Jesus.” Just enjoy Him. He is your life and your content. He is the meaning of your human life.

Prayer and God’s Work

If our prayer is only for the fulfillment of our plans and wishes, it will not have any value in the spiritual realm. Only the players that are initiated by God and that echo what He has initiated have any worth. God’s work is governed by the prayers. God is willing to do many things, but He will not do them when His people do not pray. He must wait for man to agree with Him before He will do them. This is a great principle of God’s work, and it is also one of the most crucial principle in the Bible.

The life of The Altar and the Tent

God demands that everything we have be placed on the altar and that we have placed what He has left for us in the tent. We can only have the second altar when everything is in the tent. … It is easy for us to be stirred up, to become zealous, and to consecrate ourselves. But three or five years after this, we collect many things from the world again, and we cannot go back to the altar anymore. … The problem is not with possessions. The problem is with how our consecration stands.

New Jerusalem

The New Jerusalem is a constitution of God and man and man and God, who are constituted into one; it is divinity expressed in humanity and humanity glorified in divinity. Therefore, they two become a mutual dwelling place. The One who is God yet man dwells in the One who is man yet God, and the one who is man yet God dwells in the One who is God yet man. They are mutual dwelling place. Thus, His divine glory shines forth radiantly with great splendor in humanity. There is not one bit of good or evil here, and it has nothing to do with good and evil. God’s economy is absolutely outside of good and evil. This economy is God and man becoming one entity, as one who is God yet man and man yet God.

My Ideal Partner

When I first stepped on the land of Batu Lintang TrainingCollege, I had prayed hard for a ideal partner as my room-mate.

The first person I met was a male from Kuching. He smiled at me when I approached him. From there, I get to know his name is Jim. He is taking the same course as me. My sixth sense told me that he is the ideal partner I am looking for.

However, when I registered for the hostel, I had been put with the others and not Jim. How sad I was at the moment. On the other hand, I told myself not to give up hope yet. With a twinkling of eyes, it was already two months since I registered.

I was beaming with joy because we would be transferred to the newly built hostel. The thing I am most happy was I would be with my ideal partner. It is indeed a dream come true.

Jim is tall and has strong built muscles. Although he is wearing a pair of spectacles, his sight still as sharp as an eagle. His mouth is quite big, I admit. It is undoubtful that Jim has a good taste for food. I also envy him for he is very handsome.

When we stay together, I found many virtues in him. Jim is diligent in whatever he does. In the room, he is the one who does the cleaning and tidying because we need a clean room to study and avoid illness. He would sweep and mop the floor everyday.

Besides, he is also a kind-hearted partner. He is always willing to help me in my study and my work. He is a Mathematics Wizard for he can solve every mathematical question with ease. He is also a good problem solver. At the age of eighteen, Jim is already so matured in solving problem that occurred.

On the other hand, Jim is also an intelligent student in class. He is one of the top students in the class with excellent performance. Furthermore, Jim is very friendly. He is a friend of everyone in the college. When I have some problems in my study, he will always be there for me.

Jim is not only excels in study but is also a great basketball player for the college. He is as skillful as Michael Jordan when playing basketball. His speed is amazingly fast and almost no one can stop him from scoring and slam dunk. He had won the Most Valuable Player award in a competition recently. I hope that Jim will join the national team one day and win more titles and awards.

During leisure, he will play the piano and guitar. He is not Jack of all trades but master of none. Jim knows how to play the musical instrument that can keep the devils away. The beautiful music always attracts me and makes me fall in love with it. It is a good entertainment after a day of studying in class. I hope one day he will play as good as Mozart.

Indeed, Jim is so special. He is a friend and a room-mate of mine. He is my ideal and unique partner. I will treasure and appreciate my ideal partner and I also hope he will take me as his ideal partner as well.

Must

We must love the Lord.
We need to pray.
We need to live a normal Godman church life.
We need to open ourselves to Lord to be perfected and trained in truth, life, serving and characteristics.
We need to live a blending life in the body.

Today I had attended a series of talk on ethical and social that should be on a teacher. We teachers are professional and should be an effective teacher. I learn a lot from the facilitator from Sabah. She is the “Super Principal” and she is really superwoman. We learn many tips on how to be a professional teacher. Thank you to her.

In training College, most of the students are walking in pair. You should know what I mean.

I need to love the Lord more. "We need to love God with our whole being."(Mark 12:30)

I am Sorry

Today, I done something silly by misplacing my roomate hanphone. He was very angry that time when he knew it. Actually, I was responsible to take care of his precious handphone.

But, thanks God, I learnt a lesson from the incident. The hp was found at last. I need to be more careful and responsible next time.

I love the Lord and I would shepherd His sheep.

Holiday

Yeah, it is holiday once again. Time passed very quickly, indeed, time wait for no man. It had been two months since I came to Kuching to study at Batu Lintang Training College.

I enjoyed the church life in Kuching. I always pray to the Lord that I can enjoy Him every moment. Lord, I just loves you.

A great Day

It was a great day because my two friends from Sabah came to visit me. Chai Yapp Chien from Tawau and Lo Si Gan from Papar. I was happy to saw them and welcomed them to Sarikei.

We went to many places such as Lake Garden, Sport Centre, Civic Centre, MDS, Shopping malls, Port, Bus, station, Coffee Shops, Hotel, Post Office, Telekom, Court Mammoth…

The thing I most happy was that they are going to Gospel Meeting on 27/8/2005 at The Church of God in Kuching. Praise the Lord!

Romans 10:9-10
"That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from dead, you will be saved.

Being Full of Mercy toward Others

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bible Verses ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Matt 7:1 Do not judge, that you be not judged. (2) For with
what judgment you judge, you shall be judged; and with what
measure you measure, it shall be measured to you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words of Ministry ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you show mercy toward others, you will receive mercy. But
if you measure others without mercy, then you will also be
measured without mercy. With what measurement you mete, it
will be measured to you. Mercy does not do any measuring. This
means that mercy imposes no requirements. Anything that
requires a measurement is not mercy. Mercy is absolutely
blind. Why do you treat me so well when I am so pitiful? It is
because you are merciful toward me.

Sometimes, by the Lord’s mercy, I have been merciful toward
others. Afterwards some of my children, whose eyes were so
clear about the situation, said to me, "Daddy, don’t you know
how poor this person is? Why were you so good to him?" I was
good to him because I was blind. My children, however, were
very clear-sighted. But those who are so clear- sighted cannot
be merciful. We, the kingdom people, must be blind in dealing
with others. If so, we shall be merciful to them and always
take care of them. Whenever my children asked me why I was
kind to those who did not deserve kindness, I answered, "You
don’t know what I am doing. Your eyes are too big and clear.
Why did I treat him that way? It was because I was considerate
of him." This is the principle of the kingdom people in
dealing with others. For us to deal with others, we must
consider them, sympathize with them, and be merciful toward
them. The kingdom people must take care of others in their
dealings with them.

Final Post Before Leaving For Kuching

I will be leaving for Kuching tomorrow (3/7) after the Lord’s Day meeting in Bintangor.

I will miss Sarikei as well though I was born in Marudi(unknow to you?).

By the way, many things happened when I was packing my thing. But I experience the Lord more with situation that happened. Praise the Lord for His move in me!

Caring for Others by Not Judging Them

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bible Verses ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Matt 7:1 Do not judge, that you be not judged. (2) For with
what judgment you judge, you shall be judged; and with what
measure you measure, it shall be measured to you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words of Ministry ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The kingdom people, living in a humble spirit under the
heavenly ruling of the kingdom, always judge themselves, not
others. The Lord’s word about not judging lest we be judged
does not seem to be a word about taking care of others.
However, when we probe into this word, we see that it actually
means to take care of others. When you are about to judge
others, instead you must take care of them.

Are you afraid of being judged? If you are, then you should
realize that others are also afraid of being judged. Do you
feel bad about being judged by others? If you do, then you
should know that others also feel bad about being judged by
you. No one likes to be judged. If you do not like to be
judged, then what about others? You need to take care of them.
If you are afraid of being judged, then you must consider
others, who also are afraid of being judged. Always take care
of others.

Under the heavenly ruling of the kingdom, the kingdom people
will be judged with what they judge. If they judge others with
righteousness, they will be judged by the Lord with
righteousness. If they judge others with mercy, they will be
judged by the Lord with mercy. Do not judge others so much,
for you will be judged in the same degree that you judge
others. If you take care of others, you will not be judged by
them.

The process and consummated Triune God

The process and consummated Triune God, according to the good pleasure of His desire and for the highest intention of His economy, is building Himself into His chosen people, and His chosen people into Himself, that He may have a constitution in Christ as a mingling of divinity and humanityto be His organism and the Body of Christ, as His eternal expression and the mutual abode for the redeeming God and redeemed man, the ultimate consummation of this miraculous structure of treasure will be the New Jerusalem for eternity.

Are You Alone and Lost, My Friend

Are you alone and lost my friend?

Deep within you all filled with pain?

Nothing to gain?

Nothing to long for?

No one to help you when you fall?

Then let me tell you this, my friend,

now you don’t have to search for something more,

Jesus’s the One, He can be your all, receive Him and you will know.

And He will be your King, your God, your friend,

your hope, your strength; And you will be His love

from now till aye, eternal, loving pair.

The Pure in Heart Seeing God

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bible Verses ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Matt 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see
God.
2 Tim 2:22 But flee youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness,
faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a
pure heart.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words of Ministry ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To be righteous is to deal with ourselves, to be merciful is
to deal with others, and to be pure in heart is to deal with
God. Toward ourselves, we must be strict and allow no excuses.
Toward others, we should be merciful, giving them more than
they deserve. But toward God we must be pure in heart, seeking
nothing besides Him. The reward for being pure in heart is to
see God. God is our reward. No reward is greater than God
Himself. We gain this reward by being strict, righteous, with
ourselves, by being merciful toward others, and by being pure
in heart toward God.

To be pure in heart is to be single in purpose, to have the
single goal of accomplishing God’s will for God’s glory. This
is for the kingdom of the heavens. Our spirit is the organ to
receive Christ (John 1:12; 3:6), whereas our heart is the
ground where Christ as the seed of life grows (Matt.13:19).
For the kingdom of the heavens we need to be poor in spirit,
empty in our spirit, that we may receive Christ. We also need
to be pure in heart, single in our heart, that Christ may grow
in us without frustration.

If we are pure in heart in seeking God, we shall see God.
Seeing God is a reward to the pure in heart. This blessing is
both for today and for the coming age.

PISMP Interview

Today is one of my big day as I was going to Pusat Kegiatan Guru Sarikei for interview(PISMP).

I try to convince myself that it will not be very hard and try to stay calm all the time. I call the name of the Lord and I said to the Lord, Lord I just love You.

First, ten of us had a test called "INSAK". Wow, nearly couldn’t finish in time. You can imagine 135 questions in 30 minutes. (13.3 seconds per question). Thanks Lord, I managed to finish it.

Then come the harder part which was the interview part. New style? Five of us were interview in one go. Amazing…

Finally, it finished at 0930. The others told me that I done well in the interview but I not sure. Lord, lead me in everything!

Lord, You are my God, You are my portion.

Narrow Escape

Today after the Bible Lesson, I fetched four saints and gospel friends back. On the way, I nearly bumped into a Proton Saga. I was driving my car straightly when all of a sudden, the Proton Saga which was at the roadside came out. Luckily, I braked the car early or else there would be a terrible accident. I thanks Lord for the situation.

I need to be a crazy lover of Christ.

Lord, I just love You!!!!!!!!

Unforgettable Experience at Grigat Beach

I went to Grigat yesterday for blending. I had a "rare" experience at midnight. That night (10/5/05), three brothers and I went to our room and found there were many sandfly in the room. So, we decided to use Ridsect and we left the room for fifteen minutes before went back to the room to sleep. When we were opening the door, all of the sudden, there was a blackout which last for 5 seconds only.

That night we experienced a heavy downpour which had caused the rain water "came" into our room. Not enough with that, a furious thunderstorm "strike off" the lid of the aircorn until it hit a brother on his back. Wow, what a night.

God told me that "In everything give thanks".

Not Testing God

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bible Verses ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Matt 4:5 Then the devil took Him into the holy city and set
Him on the wing of the temple, (6) And said to Him, If You are
the Son of God, cast Yourself down… (7) Jesus said to him,
Again, it is written, "You shall not test the Lord your God."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words of Ministry ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
According to the human concept, any religion that does not
have miracles is powerless; the most powerful religion is a
religion of miracles. Therefore, Satan brought the new King to
the wing of the temple and tempted Him to leap down from it by
saying that the angels would protect Him. Do not think that
you have never had the thought of doing this kind of thing. In
my early days I often thought of doing things to show people
that I was a supernatural person and that I had supernatural
powers. Have you not had this kind of concept in your
Christian life?

Some may say, "Since I am one following the Lord and I am in
the Lord’s presence as my Emmanuel, I must do something to
show others that God is with me." I know of one dear brother
who had such a thought. Convinced that the Lord was with him,
he asked the Lord to give him two hundred thousand dollars
within a certain number of days. He said, "Lord, You must show
the people that You are one with me. You must show them that
whatever I ask in Your name, You give me. Lord, I am asking
You for two hundred thousand dollars. Within a certain number
of days, You must give it to me." This brother stopped eating
and sleeping and began to pray for this amount of money. What
kind of prayer was that? It was leaping from the wing of the
temple to make a show of himself. In principle we have all
done this many times. Every Christian has been tempted in this
way.

Believer of Christ Jesus

We are the believers of Christ Jesus, raised up by Him, Who care for the genuine oneness of the Body of Christ In practicing the church life according to the divine revelation, And are endeavoring to keep the oneness of the Spirit, By continuing steadfastly in the teaching of the apostles, With the view that we all may arrive at the oneness of the faith And of the full knowledge of the Son of God, At a full-grown man, At the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, That all the members of the body may function jointly and fittingly together in the body unto the building up of the body itself in love (Eph. 4:13-16).

Bible

The WORD Of GOD

The Bible is the Word of God. It is God breathed (2 Tim 3:16). Hence, we should not come to the Bible merely for knowledge, but to Christ (John 5:39,40) to experience and enjoy Him.

2. What God has spoken through the centuries has been written down in the Bible. This book is the very embodiment of God, of all that He is and all that He has accomplished. We can read, understand and accept it!

(Chapter 48, Life Messages by Witness Lee, published by LSM, Anaheim)

3. The Bible is the old-time book, the new time book, the all time book!

4. Martin Luther said, “ There is only one book- the Bible, and one Person, Jesus Christ in the world.” He is both the outline and the detail of the Bible.

(p.108, Volume 3, Collected Works of Watchman Nee, LSM, Anaheim)

5. Hudson Taylor when over 70 years of age said to one of his children, “ I have just finished reading the Bible through, today, for the fortieth time in forty years.”

(p.156, Faith¡¦s Venture, Hudson Taylor by Mrs. Howard Taylor, CIM, London)

6. George Muller said, “ I have read the Bible through one hundred times and found something new and inspiring every time.”

7. Around the age of 20, brother Watchman Nee read through the New Testament weekly for about one year. And Watchman Nee said in 1947, “ I have read the New Testament a few hundred times.”

(Chapter 1 of the Resumption of Watchman Nee’s Ministry, Volume 1, published by LSM, Anaheim)

8. On practical hints for reading the Bible Watchman Nee said, “ The Bible must be read daily and consecutively. It is best if the Old and New Testaments are read together. The reading should not be too fast but rather daily and systematically. If possible try to memorize one or two verses each day.”

9. On how to make the best use of the Bible, HY. Pickering said, “ (i) Read it through (ii) Pray it in (iii) Work it out (iv) Note it down (v) Pass it on.”

10. Brother Witness Lee testified his love for the Bible in his book, page 32, The Organic Aspect of God’s salvation, published by LSM, Anaheim:

When I was saved, I began to love the Bible and enjoyed reading the word of God. Whenever I read it, I was enlightened and sensed its incomparable sweetness. At that time I was not yet married. I loved the Bible to such an extent that every night after praying on my knees by my bed, I still would not put the Bible down. Rather, I would take the Bible with me to bed and place it by the pillow. After I read it again for a short while under the lamp, I felt so sweet. When I woke up in the morning, I would quickly reach for the Bible and read it. Of course, as I look back, I admit that was a grace given to me by God. By loving the Bible and longing for the milk in the word, I received the Lord’s feeding and shepherding.

11. One day during the time of his last illness, the doctors wanted to test how well brother Witness Lee’s mental faculties were functioning. They asked brother Lee to write down on a piece of paper the one thing that he loved the most. Without hesitation he wrote down, I love the Lord Jesus. Then he thought about it for a minute, and said, “Let me change it,” and proceeded to write, I love the Bible. To him, the things he loved the most were the Lord Jesus and the Bible, and both were equally precious to him.

(p.101, and p.102, “A God man’s death” published by LSM, Anaheim.)

12. Before reading the Bible, it is good to call on the Lord. Right away, the Written word of the Bible becomes the living word.

(Message 8, the Crystallization-Study of Romans, Witness Lee, published by LSM, Anaheim)

13. In Ephesians 6:17,18 the Apostle Paul said, “ receive… the word of God… by means of all prayer…” Hence, the most important of all, when we come to the Bible, we should pray-read His Word.

Lord’s Day Meeting

Today all the saints gathered at the meeting hall for meeting. I enjoyed the dispensing of the Triune God. I just open my whole being and He would dispense Himself into me. Hallelujah! Lord, I need Your dispensing everyday!

Acts 20:7

"And on the first day of the week, when we gathered together to break bread. Paul conversed with them since he was to go forth on the next day; and he extended his message until midnight."

We gather together on the first day of the week to break bread.

Youth Training

Tonight, I had a wonderful meeting at the church. The hymn really touched me.

Dearest Lord, I come;
This is now my pray,
keep me open to You,
May I always love You.

Lord, I love You more today, so much more than yesterday;
Lord, I need You,
Lord I love You.

Now that the choice is mine,
Lord, I still choose You;
Although the paths be not marked,
I’m still trusting You.

And if the way is hard,
If things don’t go my way,
Keep my heart soft to You,
Keep me open to You.

Dearest Lord, I pray,
Lead me every day;
Don’t let things come between,
Keep my eyes fixed on You.

When many years have gone,
And many things have passed,
I will still be for You,
I will still say to You.

Hallelujah! I give my first love to the Lord. I must exercise my Spirit every moment by calling His name.

Matthew 5:8
"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."

Bible Lesson

The previous night, I stayed at the meeting hall with a brother. Hallelujah, he said he was happy when he met bothers and sisters. So, we must care for the body.

Today, I went to the meeting hall at 1030 to prepare for the Bible Lesson which started at 1220. Before that, I went to the petrol station to let my car "drink" diesel but I went out empty hand as diesel is out of stock. However later in the evening, it back to normal again.

The Bible Lesson attended by more than 70 students from three schools (St Anthony, Sekolah Bandar and Sekolah Tinggi) including the saints. We sang the hymn "Come into my heart, O Lord Jesus!" Very touching.

1) Come into my heart, O Lord Jesus

Come into my heart, I Pray;

My soul is so troubled and weary

Come into my heart, today.

Chorus

Into my heart, into my heart,

Come into my heart, Lord Jesus

Come in today, come in to stay,

Come into my heart, Lord Jesus

2) Come into my heart, Lord Jesus

I need Thee through life’s dreary way;

The burden of sin is so heavy,

Come into my heart to stay

3) Come into my heart, O Lord Jesus,

Now cleanse and illumine my soul;

Fill me with Thy wonderful spirit,

Come in and take full control

Do You Have God with You?

Matt 1:23 "Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel" (which is translated, God with us).

Rom 9:5 Whose are the fathers, and out of whom, as regards what is according to flesh, is the Christ, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words of Ministry ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The last part of Matthew 1…deals with the names of Jesus and Emmanuel….Now we come to the second name, Emmanuel….Whenever you have some experience of Jesus, you will be able to say that He is God with you….Jesus is nothing less than God Himself. He is not only the Son of God, but also God Himself. Some good writers have said that apart from Jesus we can never find God. God is with Jesus, and God is Jesus. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was not only with God, but the Word was God (John 1:1). This Word became flesh and was called Jesus. When we experience Jesus, He is Emmanuel, God with us. We have heard that Jesus is our comfort, our rest, our peace, and our life. Jesus is so much to us. If we would experience Him, we would immediately say, "This is God! This is not God far away from me, or God in the heavens, but God with me." Whenever we experience Jesus in a certain way, we realize that Jesus is God with us. Jesus is our salvation. After we experience this salvation, we say, "This is God with us to be our salvation." Jesus is our patience. But when we experience Him as our patience, we say, "This patience is God with me." Jesus is the way and the truth, but when we experience Him as the way and the truth we say, "This way and this truth are just God with me." Hallelujah, Jesus is God with us! In our experience, He is Emmanuel.

The Secret of Calling Upon the Name of the Lord

Rom 10:13 For "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
1 Cor 1:2 To the church of God which is in Corinth,…with all those who call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, who is theirs and ours.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words of Ministry ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The name of Jesus is for us to call upon. I was a Christian for at least thirty-five years before I found the secret of calling on the name of Jesus. I thought that calling on the name of Jesus was the same as praying. Eventually, from the record of the Bible, I discovered that praying is one thing and calling is another. Fifteen years ago, I did a reat deal of praying, mostly on my knees. I did not know the secret of calling upon the name of Jesus, nor did I know that calling is
different from praying.
Many of us have experienced praying, but with little inspiration. However, when we call on Jesus for five minutes, we are inspired. Try it! Many of us can testify that when we prayed in the old way, we sometimes prayed ourselves to sleep.
But calling on the Lord never puts us to sleep. On the contrary, it stirs us up.
Acts 9:14 says that Paul, when he was Saul of Tarsus, tried to damage all the saints. He intended to go from Jerusalem to Damascus to bind all those who called on the name of Jesus. This verse does not say that he was about to bind
all those who prayed to Jesus, but all those who called on Jesus. By
this one verse we can see that the early Christians were those who called on Jesus. Whenever they prayed, they called. They called upon the name of Jesus, and that became a mark of recognition.
A Tiring Day
Today got many activities, starting from 0700, I had morning revival with saints. We have to be seperate. Then I study the "Wasiat Baru" (Bahasa Malaysia Bible) with my serving one. At noon, I went to the meeting hall to have afternoon revival with the brothers.
From 1530 to 1630, I had another study on Wasiat Baru with saints. After that, I went to the meeting hall again for Pray Meeting which started at 1700 to 1800.(Yup, the Pray Meeting for youth in Sarikei is at 1700 every Tuesday.)
Not enough with that, at 1930, I went to the meeting hall again for fellowship among the serving one. Our burden is this coming Friday Bible Lesson(22/4/05). Hallelujah! There were more than 70 saints including the gospel friends. May the Lord gains us all to see Him.
1 Timothy 2:4
"God who desires all men to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of the truth."
God desires all men to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of the truth.
Enjoying God
We may have heard many things about God, but we have to see that the entire BIBLE, from Genesis to Revelation, shows us that GOD is our ENJOYMENT.
The Enjoyment Of The Lord In The Old Testament:
1) The tree of life (Gen. 2:7–9)
2) The meat of the Lamb (Exo. 12:4)
3) The unleavened bread and the bitter herbs (Exo. 12:8)
4) The manna (Exo. 16:14–15)
5) The living water (Exo. 17:6)
6) The good land (Deut. 8:8–9)
7) The Lord is our Shepherd (Psalm 23:1)
8) The green pastures and still waters (Psalm 23:2)
9) The table before us in the presence of our enemies (Psalm 23:5)
10) The dwelling place (Psalm 23:6)
11) The fatness of the Lord’s house and the river of God’s pleasures (Psalm 23:8)
The Enjoyment Of The Lord In The New Testament:
1) The bread on the table (Matthew 15:21–28)
2) The tabernacle (John 1:14)
3) The Lamb (John 1:29)
4) The ladder (John 1:51)
5) The living water (John 4:14, 1 Cor. 10:4)
6) The bread of life (John 6:35)
7) The light (John 8:12)
8) The way, the reality, the life (John 14:6)
9) The door (John 10:9)
10) The Shepherd (John 10:11)
11) The Passover and our unleavened bread (1 Cor. 5:7-8)
12) The manna (1 Cor. 10:3)
13) The Lord’s table (1 Cor. 10:14-22)
14) The milk of the word (Peter 2:2)
15) The tree of life for the overcomers (Rev. 2:7)
16) The hidden manna for the overcomers (Rev. 2:17)
17) The feast (Rev. 3:20)
18) The wedding feast, the feast of the Lord’s marriage (Rev. 19:7-9)
19) The living water flowing and the tree of life (Rev. 22:1-2)
We need to a) have meeting after meeting for many days to see all the
items of God as our enjoyment from Genesis through Revelation.
b) read and study the Bible from the beginning to the end
with this point of view.
c) realize from the Bible how God is our enjoyment.
d) contact God every moment.
[ The more we spoke, the more the Bible was opened to us … until we saw that the entire Bible is about EATING the Lord, DRINKING the Lord, and ENJOYING the Lord.]
GOSPEL
The Lord Jesus we believe is the real God on the universe who became a man. This God-Man Jesus passed through human living, death and resurrection. Today, He is the life-giving Spirit. The Spirit in origin Greek means ‘pneumatic’, which is most convenient way to enter into man and mingle with man. Once the Lord enters into us, He gives life to us.
There is also an organ in us that is used just to receive Lord Jesus as the Spirit, that is our spirit. Our spirit is to contain God, contact God and be one with God. We have to use the right organs to contact everything. We use our ear to hear, our eye to see, but we cannot use other organs to contact God. We can only use our spirit, which is the deepest part of our being to contact God.
Dear friends, the Lord Jesus is Spirit, we also have a spirit. So, we can use our spirit to contact Him by calling upon His name “O Lord Jesus!” How dear and near!
Hallelujah! Tonight I preached gospel to my friends. They need Jesus. Praise Him! They called the name of the Lord Jesus! O Lord Jesus! O Lord Jesus!
Acts 2:21
"And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Lord’s Day
Today got youth training at the church which started at 0700 and luckily I not late for the training. If not, got "grace". In the training, I was happy when the saints practised "PSRP" to be reconstituted by the words of ministry. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord. We must preach the gospel to all the living organisms.
At 0900, I attended Lord’s Day meeting with other saints. We had been justified by Lord. The proof is the resurrected Christ.
Romans 5:10
"For if we, being enemies, were reconciled to the God through the death of His Son, much more we will be saved in His life, having been reconciled."
The believers in Christ become God through God’s organic salvation which involves the addition of God into their whole being.
