《只是一名老师》
你握住的不仅仅是学生的手，你握住的是他的未来，
在他脑海里，你不仅仅是一名老师，你还触碰了他的心灵，
你并不仅仅拭干他的眼泪，抚慰他的心灵，
你，已经成为他的一部分，
你并不是与学生分享短暂的一刻，而是成为一种记忆，
当你不在的时候，你已经深入了他们的内心，
你并不知道你的力量有多么强大，
你影响了一代人，而他们又将影响下一代，
所以，“做一名老师”并不是简单的事情，
除了语言，你还有很多要做的，
你要在那一刻感到自己是了解学生的，
或是他今天也同样对你微笑了。

让教育回归基本
教师有“人类灵魂的工程师”之美称。但是隨著时代的变迁，教育制度的改变，教师的工作已变质，他们不再有时间专注教育学生成为身心灵都健全发展的下一代。
教育部通过各项师训课程，包括大学文凭班和教育学士课程，让有兴趣加入教育界的人士能透过有效的管道接受培训，並在培训结束后，能为国家教育出优良的下一代。但是，许多教师却无法学以致用，发挥所长，只能日復一日地重复著 令人疲惫，並对学生们的学习毫无帮助的琐碎工作。
有的教师除了教学，还得兼任考试组秘书、科委秘书、校內评估试秘书、家协秘书，再兼制服团体秘书；不是今天开会明天参加培训，后天写报告，大后天收费，天天处理校內与学生的琐碎事务，每天如此“不务正业”，哪还有时间备课与训练学生参加校內外的比赛？国家尽心尽力地培训有素质的教师，但教育环境不允许教师贯彻教学理念，一切还是归於零。
教师的工作时间从早上7时至下午或傍晚。回家后，並不代表工作时间已结束，有者教师因在校工作繁忙而没时间批改作业或备课，而需要回家“加班”，甚至需要花费时间完成许多琐碎並毫无意义的文书工作。试问，在这样工作环境下的教师还能有多余的时间与精力確保学生们的身，心与灵都得到健全的照顾吗？我们国家未来主人翁的人格发展能不令人担忧吗？
近年，教育部要让学生们在快乐的环境下学习，成为一个身心都能健全发展的全人。但是，如果学校环境並不允许教育工作者专心教学，当个快乐教师。试问，他们还有能力让这“快乐学习”的理念成功推行吗？由於工作的变质，导致现今的教师们只能在课堂內教完课程纲要，並確保所传授的知识足以应付考试。这只把学生们训练成考试机器人的教育方法，完全与正规的教育理念背道而驰！
教育部应让教育回归基本，凡事考量都以学生的学习为基础，把任何对学生毫无益处由教师兼任的琐碎文书工作从简。据笔者所知，学校里大部份需要教师们劳心劳肺去准备的资料或报告都对教学与学习进度毫无帮助。既然这样，那为何不简化呢？简化学校的行政安排，简略不必要的文书工作与减省文件工作，让教师不需因为这些文书工作而严重影响教学，应考虑聘请行政人员，处理校方的行政工作。学校也应有系统地规划分工，不会出现让一位教师同时担当多项职位的情况，而成为名副其实的秘书，虚有其表的教育工作者。除此之外，校方也应儘量减少会议次数和缩短会议时间，让教师们不会因为会议时间而耽搁工作或造成精神疲劳。
政府应重新检討现今的教育系统，让教育回到最初的目的，唯有快乐的教师，才能有快乐的学生！
